Jennifer Thomas

Jennifer Thomas was born and raised in Norfolk, VA. She received a Bachelor's Degree in Art Education from Old Dominion University. Exploring various media through teaching, counseling and the therapeutic arts, her work is always changing.

Her Mixed media artwork has been recognized internationally in Art Doll Quarterly, 2006. Currently residing in Columbus, GA, she continues to exhibit locally and regionally.

Expressionistic in nature, she relies on feelings, impressions and life's experiences as motivational themes for her work, A storyteller at heart, she incorporated calligraphy, images and symbols with a textural quality, to accentuate the visual information to the viewer. Her work is intuitive, using soft out of focus images to impart a dreamlike quality, guided by her own inner wisdom.
