Deanie Wells

Deanie Wells lives on a farm in Marion County where she and her husband raised a family of 5 children. She is Grandmother of 12. She began painting when the last of her 5 children left home.

Besides being a "farm wife" her other occupation has been as a caterer. She has become a serious painter in the last decade, taking lessons in oil painting , acrylic. and watercolor from several teachers in the area.

Her favorite medium is oil, and she is especially inspired by rural scenes from around Marion County, near her home in Buena Vista, GA, where she has lived most of her life. She is a member of the Columbus Artists' Guild and Joseph House Gallery, and has works exhibited at the Front Porch on Wildwood, the Joseph House, and Odyssey Printing in Main Street Village - all in Columbus. She is an active part of a growing art community in Buena Vista, GA.

Most of Deanie's oil paintings glow with life and light, aided by the method of glazing that she had developed.
