• Clay Handbuilding for Children
Instructor: Faith Birkhead
Tuesdays Time: 4 - 5:15 pm Fee: $50
If your child likes Play Dough and enjoys building things, this is the class for them. Each child is given a
lump of clay and, with Faith’s guidance, they learn all the techniques of design and construction. The clay
piece is fired and then painted with glaze and fired again resulting in a colorful, functional piece of artwork.
Faces, vases, wall hangings, whatever their imagination can dream up. Great for developing eye/ hand
coordination and reasoning skills.

• Clay Open Studio Teens & Adults Instructor: Faith Birkhead
Tuesdays Time: 6:30 - 9 pm Fee: varies by project - $30 & up.
Don’t miss the fun going on in this class! Take a lump of clay and make a bowl, tray, face jug, vase, wall
hanging, wind chimes, you decide! This is a weekly ‘show up when and if you can’ class guaranteed to
provide a good time, so bring your ideas and turn them into functional pottery with the guidance of our
resident potter guru.

• Drawing for Adults Ages: 13 through Adult Instructor: Debra Jackson Quillen
Thursdays Time: 4-5:30 Fee: $50 mo (4 classes)
Many would-be painters are discouraged when their paintings don’t ‘look right’. That’s because there is
more to it than mixing colors and applying paints. This weekly, on-going class is designed for the adult who
wants to develop or improve their drawing skills by learning to ‘see’. Proportion, perspective & values are
the focus of this class which promises to produce a better painting. Sign up for this class and watch yourself
bloom!

• 2nd Saturday - Yarn Painting Instructor: Annie Greene
Sat, Mar. 13; Times: 10 -11 am Ages 6-9 NO CHARGE (1st 50 to register) OR 11-12 noon Ages 10 & up
Children ages 6 & up, accompanied by an adult, are invited to come for a free art lesson on the 2nd
Saturday of each month. In March, renowned LaGrange artist Annie Greene will share her techniques for
creating art using paper, glue & yarn. Each child will create a small painting ready to hang on their wall and
hopefully a burning desire to do more yarn painting in the future. As space is limited you are encouraged to
call and register to secure your child’s space. 2nd Saturday is supported in part by the Georgia Council for
the Arts through appropriations of the Georgia General Assembly. The Council is a Partner Agency of the
National Endowment for the Arts. 2nd Saturday is also supported by the Harris County Chamber of
Commerce.

• The Art of Spinning Yarns Teens & Adults Instructor: Annie Greene
Saturday, March 13 Time: 1 -4 pm Fee: $60
There’s more than one way to spin a yarn, so join Annie in this introductory class as she shares her tried
and true techniques for creating paintings with yarn. As most of Annie’s time is spent teaching children, this
is a rare opportunity for teens and adults to study with her. Come with an idea or simple sketch designed to
fit a 12 x 18” canvas. All supplies are furnished. This class will fill quickly so register early.

• Portraits in Watercolor Instructor: Dick Millman
Saturday, March 20 Time: 11 am - 5 pm Fee: $75
Bring a photograph of a "person of interest" that you would like to immortalize with a flattering watercolor
treatment. Working with a copier, we will bring the image to a comfortable size and proceed to do a head &
shoulders rendition, emphasizing positive features. Find a photo with sharp focus and good strong
modeling in the shades and shadows. The subject's face should measure 3"-6”. If possible bring extra
photos of the person for reference. Bring a watercolor palette, brushes, W/C paper and a board to work on
(or a watercolor block if you have one). The instructor will have additional supplies if you need them. See
samples of Dick’s portraits in our gallery.

• PMC Let’s Make a Ring! Teens & Adults Instructor: Debra Jackson Quillen
Sunday, March 21 Time: 1 - 4 pm Fee: $65
Create a fine silver ring from Precious Metal Clay. The rings will be formed around a firing pellet which
ensures a proper fit and then kiln fired for maximum strength. Lots of stamps, texture plates, templates &
cutters to choose from. We also have several ring molds and a set of letter stamps. Make matching rings
for you and your significant other or bring the other & share this fun class together! Great anniversary gift
idea, too.

• Fused Glass Wind Chimes Instructor: Jan Hochreiter
Sunday, March 21 & 28 Time: 1 - 4 pm Fee: $100
Take fusing to the next level and create a functional piece for your home. Be specific or be random as you
create a topper and three chimes by arranging small pieces of colored glass onto a clear glass base in
whatever design you choose. Return the following Sunday (after the fusing is complete) to assemble and
decorate the wire with beads.  Your wind chimes will be beautiful with the light streaming through and every
time you hear the tinkling sound of the chimes you’ll remember how much fun you had in this class (you will
also wow your friends with your talents!).

• Paint with Oils - an open studio Instructor: Donna Bailey
Saturday March 27 Time: 11 am - 4 pm Fee: $75
Experience & learn what abstraction is all about. Or take the other road and concern yourself with the
details needed to achieve realism. Working on something and need some help? Bring it with you & let
Donna help you. The choice is yours in this ongoing, user friendly class. It’s all about oils & there will be a
still life to work from or you can invent your own work. Either way, you’ll explore your capacity for self
expression. Bring what supplies you have (we will have some things on hand) & a stretched canvas or
canvas board no larger than 18 x 22”. If you are just beginning to paint, call for a supply list. DO bring
paper towels, a lidded container for paint thinner and an easel if you have one. This class will be FUN and
we will offer it each month on the fourth Saturday for those who wish to continue painting! Suitable for
beginners, as well as, experienced painters.

•Cold Connection Beads Instructor: Cindy Moore
Sunday Mar, 28 from 9 am - 1 pm OR Saturday April 3, 9 am - 1 pm - TBA Fee: $150

Make at least 2 copper beads as you practice this new skill. Finish up the class as you create 2 sterling
silver beads. Cindy’s beads retail for $75-$80 each so this class is a real bargain as you may leave with
more than four beads (depends on how fast the student works). Call for more details on this class.
